As a licensed psychologist, I have the qualifications to best help my clients with ADHD. My background and training is particularly important because the majority of people with ADHD also have a related condition such as anxiety, depression, or a learning disorder. In addition, I am able to pull from a wide variety of strategies and techniques in order to individualize the counseling & coaching process. Furthermore, I understand that ADHD is not just about time management, organization, and other executive functioning skills. It affects all areas of a person's life including their relationships, school and vocation decisions, health behaviors, and emotional well being.

Brief Bio and Qualifications

I am a licensed psychologist (TN) and an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (CCSP) practicing in the greater Nashville area and offering services in most states via telepsychology (see my Services & Fees page for a list of participating states). I graduated with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Utah in 1997. Prior to starting my private practice in comprehensive management of ADHD, I worked as a psychologist in university mental health for several years. I began at the University Counseling Center at the University of Utah and then moved to Counseling and Mental Health Services at the University of Rochester. Most recently I worked at the Diagnostic Center at Currey Ingram Academy where I provided psychoeducational evaluations for students with suspected ADHD and/or learning disorders. My scientific research in clinical and educational psychology has been cited over 1600 times.

Equally important to my credentials, I am a mother of young adult with executive functioning deficits. You can trust that I understand the stress, frustration, and anxiety that you are experiencing.
